Volunteer Meetings
All meetings are mandatory for new applicants and team leaders!
All training meetings will take place in The main Auditorium at Nicklaus Children's Hospital from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM
- Our first meeting will be January 23rd
- 2nd training meeting will be February 6th
- 3rd training meeting will be February 20th
- 4th training meeting will be March 5th
- Last meeting will be March 19th
Veteran Volunteers
- For returning volunteers, first, fourth and last meetings are mandatory.
New Volunteers
New volunteers must attend all the meetings for training purposes. NO EXCEPTIONS.
- There will be no make-up meetings. You are being provided the dates of the meetings in ample time so that you can make the necessary planning to be there. One absence from the scheduled meetings will void your application.
We know that volunteers may be involved in extra-curricular activities, sports, club or other social events; however, we need your full attention and commitment for you to be effective. We cannot have volunteers who will allow these other commitments to get in the way of Dr. Moises Simpser VACC Camp, which takes place only one week out of the year. We are asking you to commit your time for 4 to 5 meetings prior to the week of camp and then for the week of camp.
Team Leaders
- There will be 2 leaders per team, they both have to attend the first and last meetings. They can alternate attending the 2nd, 3rd and 4th meetings, one leader per team has to be there at those meetings.
